Thank you!

I want to thank all the wonderful people that have donated towards our adoption.  This includes everyone who has donated money, bought my name puzzles or bracelets, donated items to our garage sale and prayed for our family and girls in China.  There is just no way we could have brought these precious girls home on our own and we are so thankful for all the support and generosity we have gotten and continue to receive!

We are hoping to get our FSP on the side of this blog up to $11,000 to cover the orphanage fees for our girls.  It looks like we have a ways to go but I am not worried.  I know God has his hand in this adoption and this week alone we were able to raise $3500 between donations and the garage sale!  It is hard to believe that is possible but with God all things are possible!

Weekend

The garage sale was a huge success!  We raised $1500 for our adoptions!  I still can't believe how much stuff we had and how much we sold.  It was also fun to share the pictures of Molly and Meilin and tell everyone how special these two girls are!

It was exhausting getting ready and having the garage sale though.  Travis hurt his knee last week so instead of setting up I took him to the dr. (just bruised it) then yesterday I had to take a break from the sale to take Macy to the dr because she had strep.  I guess busy in the new norm around here.

I am having another garage sale in two weeks but need to find and collect more stuff to sell since this one was so successful! I know it would be hard to make that amount again but going to try to make as much as we can since the adoption is finally moving quicker!  We need to be ready to get our girls when the time comes!

Today I am going to try to catch up on laundry and name puzzles!  I have gotten several orders lately and hope to get them all done this week.  It is also beautiful out today so we are having fun outside!  Everyone needs the sun and fresh air!  I got some fun pictures of the little two on their roller coaster!

(Don't judge Mia's outfit.  Daddy dressed her!)
They figure out how to lift their legs and go further.
Of course with Mia's flexibility that means the splits.

Doesn't look like this will end well!

Paybacks........

They love it as you can see.

LID

We got our LID today.  That means China logged in our dossier and we wait for the letter of acceptance.  Well our DTC (dossier to China) was dated 4/24/13 and they said to expect it to take up to 3 weeks.  It took one day!!! Our LID is 4/25/13!  Things are moving quickly all of the sudden!  Yay!!!

Dossier

Our dossier is officially in China!!!!  Now we wait for our LID (log in date).  Then we wait for our Letter of Acceptance saying that China basically says we can officially adopt Molly and Meilin!  We are making progress.  The time varies greatly on these two things but for some families it is going very quick.  Like everyone else I am sure, I am hoping we are on the quick side of things!

I am also making good progress on the garage sale for this weekend.  I have so much stuff to sell and hope to bring in a lot of money!  Very excited to share our story about our girls with anyone who will listen.  I love spreading awareness too!
Older pics of both girls.  Amazing how many pictures I have of them with similar poses.  All I can say is these two girls were meant to be sisters!  So much cuteness!

Progress

Late Friday afternoon we found out our dossier was on the way to China!  There are too many steps to list but it is a great thing and progress.  I love moving forward and keep praying for a smooth and quick process from here!

Closer

We are getting closer to having our dossier in China.  We had one more sheet that we needed and got it done and sent overnight to our agency.  They are translating it and then it is off to China.  Many more steps to go unfortunately but each one we can cross off the list means we are one step closer to holding our girls in our arms!

We found out great news about Molly this week.  She is going to start back at a school she went to in the past.  It is a wonderful school for children with special needs and exactly what she needs.  It isn't cheap and a wonderful friend of her foster family agreed to pay her tuition!  That is such an incredible blessing for Molly, her foster family and us.

Since blog posts are boring without pictures I added a couple old ones of the girls.  Aren't they adorable?  Love these two girls so much!

Garage sale postponed

It looks like it is just going to be to cold and windy for the garage sale this weekend.  It will be a couple weeks before we are free again but we will try again then.  It also gives me more time to find more to sell and continue to declutter!
My silly girls.  They will fit right in here!

Praying the process speeds up because it is time for these girls to come home!

Bracelets

I have a ton of bracelets we are selling for an adoption fundraiser!  Larry took them to work one day and sold quite a few!   They are $8 (plus shipping) and make great gifts too!  We love them and how unique they are and they help raise money for us and for people in Haiti trying to support their families.  There is more information and more pictures under the fundraiser tab.
We are also planning a garage sale next weekend.  My goal is to raise enough at that garage sale at my mom's and one here in May to atleast pay for one plane ticket.  Round trip for Max cost us around $2400.  They aren't cheap so praying for good weather, that I find a lot to sell and that people come out and spend!

Dossier

Our dossier should arrive at our agency today.  For those not in the adoption world a dossier is a huge stack of papers basically with our whole life story in it.  Our home study, physicals, back ground checks, financial statements, etc.  Our agency will look it over and make sure it is all there.  If so they translate it and send it to China.  You have no idea how good that will feel.  Please say a little prayer that all the papers are in order and they get it to China quickly.  We don't want to lose any time redoing paperwork.  I am so ready to move on to the next step and be closer to bringing the girls home.  We are still looking at this fall but it is hard to know anything exact because right now the range is 5-8 months from now.

Easter 2013
Maddie and Macy colored eggs.  Unfortunately Max and Mia got baths and put to bed before they could get into the mess of coloring eggs.

Max's first Easter home!

The cousins together on Easter.  Can't wait until there are two more in there!

Happy Easter to my sweet little girl!  Next year you will be home for Easter!!!

My precious Molly!  Can't wait until she is home too!

Next year will be so fun with two more going on egg hunts and at church with us on Easter.
I can't wait!  It was hard not being with her this year.  I miss her daily but of course more on holidays and birthdays.

As for the adoption we are moving forward.  We are going to mail our dossier to our agency today and when they get it ready they will send it to China!  Right now everything in China is moving quickly.  Praying that pace keeps up for awhile!  Still planning to travel this fall but it is too early to know anything else right now.
